One bottle down…

Viognier: our wine style for September

Join Ryan and Monique in enjoying Viognier, the wine selection for the month of September!

Update: Ryan is not so sure he is enjoying Viognier; he is thinking of enacting the little known “alternative selection”* clause until the club changes themes.

*the Alternative Selection Clause or ASC as its known, provides an escape if a club member just can’t keep drinking the current month’s selection. In the above case , a member is allowed to select any non-sauv. blanc blend as a replacement for Viognier.

  1. Which wine region is known for producing excellent Viognier?

  2. Ryan, pinot is my favorite but I’ll chime in here. I think the Rhone is best known for producing Viognier, however, you can find it in any significant wine producing region. Nocal, socal, Washington and Oregon, Australia, etc. I understand that South Africa is up and coming
